We are excited to announce that the Shorelines project is extending into Glasgow to coincide with COP26, the United Nations Climate Change Conference running between 31st October until the 12th November.
Rights Community Action and DA Creative Studio will be hosting two engagement sessions in October and November at The Arts Yard in Glasgow. These sessions will allow local communities to exchange their thoughts on climate change and express these thoughts through art. We are also proud to announce that renowned artist Gustavo Chavez Pavon, who is famed for creating bold and visionary murals around the world, will be joining the workshops. Gustavo will work with local communities to design a largescale mural that will be installed by himself and the local community at the Scottish Opera House Studios.
The mural itself will reflect on the key messages from the Shorelines Project whilst complimenting the discussions and activism surrounding the COP26 event.
Rights Community Action and DA Creative Studio will be speaking at The People’s Summit which runs between Sunday 7th November until Friday 12th November to further extend the discussions around the impact of climate change and how communities need to form a collective voice to instigate change.
